Rising global temperatures are allowing mosquitoes to invade new areas and increase the incidence of diseases transmitted by these vectors.<\/p>

In this context, the Mayaro virus (MAYV)<\/strong>, endemic in tropical regions, is on the rise. MAYV is transmitted by the wild mosquito Haemagogus janthinomys<\/em>, the same mosquito that transmits Yellow Fever.<\/p>

Although there are no records of transmission in Brazil by urban mosquitoes, such as Aedes aegypti<\/em>, laboratory tests have already demonstrated the capability of this species to transmit the virus.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
