She highlighted a reality still common in many services, where the laboratory receives only the biological sample \u2014 without complementary information that could properly guide the diagnostic investigation.<\/p><p data-start=\"486\" data-end=\"841\">According to the specialist, it is the laboratory\u2019s responsibility to drive this change: to request, systematize, and integrate at least basic clinical data into routine procedures. Information such as clinical suspicion, patient history, the location and duration of the lesion, and antifungal use are essential for a more accurate and reliable analysis.<\/p><p data-start=\"843\" data-end=\"1086\">\u201cIf this information isn\u2019t available, the ideal is to adjust the process: create a form, call the physician, ask about the clinical suspicion, among other actions.
