From October 28 to 31, Chihuahua, Mexico, will welcome laboratory medicine professionals and specialists for an event bringing together the 28th Latin American Congress of Clinical Pathology (ALAPAC 2026), the 56th Mexican Congress of Clinical Pathology, the 43rd State Congress of Clinical Chemistry, and Expo Laboratorio 2026<\/a>.<\/p>

Controllab<\/a> will participate in the scientific program with presentations highlighting experiences and practices that contribute to analytical performance evaluation, quality management, and the reliability of laboratory results.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

How can data generated in daily laboratory operations be used to evaluate analytical performance and guide improvements? This is one of the questions that will be addressed during the scientific program on October 28.<\/p>

Rafael Monsores Lopes, General Manager of Services at Controllab, will deliver a presentation titled \u201cFrom Data to Decisions: The Value of Proficiency Testing in the Clinical Laboratory\u201d<\/strong>, highlighting how information from External Quality Assessment (EQA) can support performance evaluation and decision-making.<\/p>

The program will also feature Dr. Kl\u00e9ver S\u00e1enz of Synlab Ecuador, Vice President of Accreditation at ALAPAC, who has been invited by Controllab to share his experience in two presentations.<\/p>

In \u201cKPIs and Patient Safety: Latin American Experience in a Benchmarking Program\u201d<\/strong>, he will discuss the use of indicators to compare performance and identify opportunities for improvement. In another presentation, \u201cAnalytical Quality Assurance: Specifications, Performance, and the Role of Uncertainty\u201d<\/strong>, he will address key technical aspects of evaluating the quality of laboratory results.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
