Those interested in participating in the pilot round, structured according to the criteria of ISO\/IEC 17043, can sign up for participation until June 18<\/em><\/p>

As technology advances, sequencing tests have become more accessible and popular in preventive medicine. However, like other laboratory tests, they need monitoring to ensure the accuracy of the results.<\/p>

The techniques of these exams are in constant evolution and participating in a Proficiency Testing (PT)<\/a><\/strong>, also known as External Quality Control, helps the laboratory in the implementation and monitoring of technical quality and inputs applied in carrying out these exams.<\/p>

To assist in this scenario, Controllab will launch the following PT, at the end of June:<\/p>

Analysis<\/strong><\/p><\/td><\/tr>

Ancestry Genetic Test<\/td>Identification and mapping of continents and populations of origin<\/td><\/tr>
Sequencing: Neonatal Screening<\/td>Complete sequencing for identification of disorders and diseases in the newborn<\/td><\/tr>
Sequencing: Bacterial Genome Detection<\/td>Full or partial sequencing<\/td><\/tr>
Sequencing: Detection of Fungal and Yeast Genome<\/td>Full or partial sequencing<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table>

By participating in these PT, laboratories will be able to demonstrate to physicians and patients the reliability of their reports, as well as the effectiveness of the procedures and steps involved in the analyses.<\/p>

The round was structured according to ISO\/IEC 17043<\/a><\/strong> criteria and the reports issued after the assessment facilitate recognition for accreditation processes and regulatory bodies.<\/p>
