Focusing on the area of Clinical Microbiology and Hospital Infection, the round table on the first day of the event will focus on quality assurance<\/em><\/p>\n

During October 22, 23 and 24, the Brazilian Society of Microbiology (SBM)<\/a><\/strong> will promote its 31st Brazilian Congress of Microbiology<\/a><\/strong> in a 100% virtual way. Controllab<\/a><\/strong> begins its participation on the first day of the event, in a round table with the theme \u201cQuality Assurance in Clinical Microbiology\u201d (MR 01).<\/p>\n

Shirley Lima, Controllab\u2019s Microbiology manager, is one of the speakers who will participate in the activity. The company representative will bring discuss the \u201cProduction and conservation of reference strains\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe certified reference strains are essential to ensure traceability and credibility in microbiological quality control, in addition to being a requirement in standards, audits, accreditations and inspections. Sharing knowledge about the production and conservation of these strains will give users even more confidence when they are applying this important instrument in microbiological routines\u201d, explains the Manager.<\/p>\n

Focusing on the area of Clinical Microbiology and Hospital Infection, the course will start at 2:00pm and will be coordinated by Elizabeth de Andrade Marques (University of the State of Rio de Janeiro<\/a><\/strong>).<\/p>\n

In addition to the Controllab representative, the participants will include discussions by Carmen Paz Oplustil (Formato Cl\u00ednico – Projetos em Medicina Diagn\u00f3stica<\/a><\/strong>) and C\u00e1ssia Maria Zoccoli (Laborat\u00f3rio M\u00e9dico Santa Luzia<\/a><\/strong>). They will address, respectively, on method verification and validation and how external quality control contributes to laboratory improvement.<\/p>\n

For those seeking an update on quality assurance in Clinical Microbiology, this will be an opportunity to exchange knowledge and experiences for those enrolled.<\/p>\n

The activity will take place on Friday, October 22, from 2:00pm to 3:30pm in room 01. The content will be divided into three blocks, which attribute dynamism and diversity of knowledge to those enrolled.<\/p>\n
