In this sense, the Ministry of Health (MH) of Brazil issued, on August 8th, the technical <a href=\"https:\/\/so.controllab.com\/pdf\/nota-tecnica-n-74-2022-CGLAB-DAEVS-SVS-MS.pdf\"><strong>note No. 74\/2022-CGLAB\/DAEVS\/SVS\/MS<\/strong><\/a> on the increase in the frequency of isolation of multidrug-resistant bacteria.<\/p>\n<p>In this publication, the MH reinforced the guidelines regarding the need to intensify laboratory and epidemiological surveillance, aiming at the early detection of these strains and the performance of antimicrobial susceptibility tests. These guidelines are intended to enable the adoption of measures to control the spread of these microorganisms in the country&#8217;s health services.<\/p>\n<p>Issuing reliable reports for the analysis of resistance mechanisms and antimicrobial susceptibility testing is essential for defining the correct treatment of patients.<\/p>\n<p>The analysis of microorganisms includes stages for issuing the reports, which require a rigorous and periodic monitoring of the processes. To help these routines, <a href=\"https:\/\/controllab.com\/en\/\"><strong>Controllab<\/strong><\/a> provides solutions for laboratory quality control.<\/p>\n<p>Among these solutions, we highlight the<a href=\"https:\/\/controllab.com\/en\/solucoes\/ensaio-de-proficiencia\/\"><strong> Proficiency Testing (PT)<\/strong><\/a> and the availability of <a href=\"https:\/\/controllab.com\/en\/programa\/mrc-culturas-de-referencia-qualitativa\/\"><strong>reference strains<\/strong><\/a>, derived from the European culture collection NCTC.<\/p>\n<p>The PT, also known as External Quality Control, helps laboratories in the implementation and monitoring of technical quality, promoting the reliability of routines.<\/p>\n<p>Controllab has the PT and strains for detection of resistance by phenotypic and molecular methods.<\/p>\n<p>These solutions help laboratories to evidence, in audits and inspections, the effectiveness of the procedures and steps involved in the analyses.
