Point-of-care tests (POCT) for Syphilis are essential for rapid diagnosis and timely treatment, offering advantages such as ease of use and applicability outside traditional laboratories. External Quality Assessment Programs (EQAP) are critical for ensuring the accuracy and reliability of POCT results, particularly for complex infections. Metrics included participation rates, adequacy (%A), inadequacy (%I), sensitivity (SE), and specificity (SP) for commonly used POCT kits.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"has_ae_slider elementor-element elementor-element-1e85e59 e-flex e-con-boxed ae-bg-gallery-type-default e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"1e85e59\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-8714234 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"8714234\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h4 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Results<\/h4>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"has_ae_slider elementor-element elementor-element-67c9b7a e-flex e-con-boxed ae-bg-gallery-type-default e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"67c9b7a\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-49659e3 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"49659e3\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Over 14 years, 348 participants submitted 12,555 datasets. Participation grew from 9 laboratories in 2010 to 113 in 2024 (p&lt;0.0000). Performance metrics remained high: %A 98.7%, %I 1.3%, SP 98.9%, and SE 98.7% (Figure 1).
