Controllab is accredited by Cgcre of Inmetro and offers Certified Reference Material according to the internationally accepted criteria and established by the ABNT NBR ISO 17034 standard
Certified Reference Material (CRM) is the main quality standard within a laboratory’s analytical routine. With it, it is possible to verify the accuracy of the measurements and guarantee the reliability of the results.
CRM has multiple uses within the laboratory. Among them are performance verification, quality control of measurements, validation of analytical methods, calibration and equipment checks and metrological traceability.
In practice, the Certified Reference Material assists the analytical procedure in obtaining the sample value (quantitative) and/or identity (qualitative), being able to give more precision, accuracy and traceability to an analytical process, enabling more accurate measurements and identifications. The more the laboratory knows and has reliability in its process, the greater its chances of growth.
The CRM is also an excellent tool for team training and for validating new methodologies or equipment in the laboratory. In the case of equipment changes, the material is essential to compare the performance between the previous and current equipment. In fact, instrument manufacturers also use it to confirm the capacity and breadth of an instrument.
The certificate accompanying the CRM allows detailed knowledge of the material. This is because it meets different technical requirements to be defined. This thorough analysis makes the user aware of the material limitations in all situations: transport, storage, stock variation, value acquisition process, among others. All CRM steps quantify the variations and, finally, make it possible to declare the material uncertainty.
Controllab has been accredited since 2016 by Cgcre of Inmetro as a Reference Material Producer (PMR 0009) and provides CRMs in accordance with internationally accepted criteria and established in the ABNT NBR ISO 17034 standard. The chemical and physical properties were the first ones attended by the provider by medium of the materials: Redox Potential, Electrolytic Conductivity Solution, Electrochemical Multiparameter Solution, Buffer Solution for pH, Refractive Index and Turbidity.
In August, Controllab expanded its scope and obtained recognition for the production of clinical and biological properties with the availability of Qualitative Reference Strains. More than 60 strains are offered to assist laboratories in their analytical routines.
