The Online Meeting was delivered in Spanish by Dr. Carmen Paz Oplustil, a biomedical scientist with a master’s degree in Microbiology from the Institute of Biomedical Sciences at the University of São Paulo (ICB-USP). She has experience in clinical microbiology, laboratory management, and the application of the LEAN methodology. Director of Formato Clínico in Brazil and Chile, she also teaches microbiology and management courses.
The session highlighted the most relevant aspects of the pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical phases that must be observed to ensure compliance with good practices in microbiology.
