Experts in analytical quality will contribute essential information on quality control in the face of challenging periods, such as the Covid-19 pandemic.
Between September 25 and October 2, the Brazilian Society of Clinical Pathology and Laboratory Medicine (SBPC / ML) will hold its 1st Virtual Congress. With the theme “The clinical laboratory adding value to the new Coronavirus pandemic”, a series of relevant debates will be offered that will bring many updates about the clinical pathology in the current disease scenario.
In this edition, specialists in analytical quality will contribute their expertise to the traditional pre-congress courses. The professionals Rafael Monsores Lopes, Claudio Rodrigues Bastos and Lívia de Oliveira Soares will dismember the theme “Analytical quality of laboratory systems: how to optimize the analysis without compromising quality”.
The course is extremely important to the sector in the face of the new Coronavirus pandemic, in which it placed all laboratories in one of the most challenging missions today: ensuring the quality of results in a scenario of adapting routines.
For Rafael Monsores Lopes, Controllab’s, service manager, the course is an opportunity to discuss in depth the changes recently reported. “The pandemic changed laboratory processes a lot and the analytical part was even more evident. The course will bring good results to laboratories that need to adapt to these changes and that always seek to maintain or improve analytical quality ”, he says.
Talking about quality control at a conference like the SBPC/ML is also a way to collaborate with the diagnostics sector. For Lopes, managing quality control in this period is not an easy task. “The laboratory has to carry out its critical analyzes for each exam and analytical set on a monthly and even daily basis. There are many exams to analyze. This takes a lot of time from analysts, who could be working just to analyze what they really need. The course will bring fundamental points that will help to maximize the time and, with that, reduce costs and still guarantee the quality of the data reported to the patient or doctor ”, he signals.
The course will take place on September 26 (Saturday), starting at 2pm, in room 07, and there is still time to register. The content will be divided into three stages in which processes and solutions will be presented that will bring gains to the laboratory.
heck the content:
2:00pm to 2:50pm | Analytical Excellence: Proficiency Test - Claudio Bastos |
