Controllab will be present at the 55th Brazilian Congress of Clinical Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, from September 4th to 8th, in São Paulo.

This year’s edition will be held in conjunction with the 32nd Congress of WasPALM – World Association Of Societies Of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine and will bring together national and international congressmen, visitors, speakers and exhibitors.

Indicators Forum

On 09/04, Monday, starting at 09 am, the company will participate in the pre-congress activities presenting the Indicators Forum, in room 09. At the event, Controllab specialists and guests will address important topics, such as:

  • the evolution of the Indicator Benchmarking Program;
  • indicators from the perspective of the National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa);
  • successful cases related to the use of indicators in the laboratory;
  • the vision of sectoral entities on performance indicators;
  • and the relevance of indicators for strategic decision-making in laboratory medicine businesses.

Controllab Workshops

Expand your knowledge with Controllab at the 55th CBPC/ML!

In addition to enjoying the Indicators Forum discussions, you will also have the exclusive opportunity to participate in two unmissable workshops.

On 9/5, Tuesday, get ready to deepen your understanding of the new resolution with the theme “Analytical Quality from the perspective of the new RDC 786/2023”. You will have access to discussions on quality control management topics that have been highlighted in the standard. By participating, you will be prepared to apply these guidelines in depth in your routine. Join us in room 04, from 1 pm to 2:30 pm, and improve your knowledge on the topic.

On Thursday, 09/07, we will explore a range of topics with strategies to achieve the standards of excellence related to quality control, including real cases and the use of indicators to guarantee the sustainability of the laboratory. Join us in room 04, from 1 pm to 2:30 pm and take your laboratory to the next level.

Scientific grade

On 09/09, Tuesday, starting at 3 pm, Controllab’s accreditation and indicators manager, Fernando Berlitz, will highlight the contribution of indicators for the generation of value to clinical laboratories and accreditations in the round table “MR 14 – Indicators and its value to laboratories and the healthcare market.” The activity will take place in room 04 and will have the participation of several specialists, who will address the following topics:

  • “Indicators and their value for laboratories and service contractors and regulatory bodies” – with Ana Paula Cavalcante;
  • “How to make high-impact strategic decisions for the business in diagnostic medicine using data and indicators” – with Lídia Abdalla;
  • “Initiatives resulting from the working group on “Laboratory errors and patient safety of the International Federation of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine” – with Wilson Shcolnik.

At the end, participants will have 20 minutes to clarify doubts and discuss with the speakers.

During the congress, you will also have the opportunity to visit the poster section and check out the scientific abstracts developed by Controllab. The approaches, which cover different themes, will broaden your perceptions about the contribution of quality tools in the analytical routine of exams. Are they:

  • “Troponin I in automation systems with traditional methodologies: performance analysis of participants in an external quality assessment program”.

Certified Reference Material Producer

Accredited by Coordenação-Geral de Acreditação do Inmetro

Controllab has been accredited as a Certified Reference Material (CRM) Producer since 2016 by Cgcre, under number PMR 0009. The conformity assessment is carried out in accordance with the requirements established in ABNT NBR ISO 17034 and Inmetro standards, ensuring competence for the production of CRMs, as defined in the Scope of Accreditation.

This accreditation attests to Controllab’s technical competence in producing CRMs according to international requirements and enables it to be recognized in other countries, under mutual recognition agreements, thereby reducing technical barriers between Brazil and other countries across continents.

Calibration Laboratory

Accredited by Coordenação-Geral de Acreditação do Inmetro

In December 2002, the Calibration Laboratory was accredited by Cgcre. With this recognition, it became part of the Brazilian network of accredited laboratories, under number 214. Since then, it has been periodically evaluated for the maintenance and/or extension of its accreditation.

The Inmetro seal attests to Controllab’s technical competence, credibility, and operational capability for calibration services, in accordance with the requirements of ABNT NBR ISO/IEC 17025.

PEP 0003

Proficiency Test Provider

Accredited by Coordenação-Geral de Acreditação do Inmetro

In September 2011, Controllab was accredited by Cgcre as a proficiency test provider, under nº PEP0003. Initially as part of a pilot project by Inmetro, this accreditation was based on ILAC G13: 2007 and included several clinical and hemotherapy tests. In the periodic evaluations of this accreditation, new segments and tests are included and the evaluation is now conducted according to ABNT NBR ISO/IEC 17043.

This accreditation attests to Controllab’s technical competence to develop and conduct proficiency tests in accordance with international requirements and enables it to be recognized in other countries, in accordance with mutual recognition agreements signed by Brazil in Mercosur, the Americas and Europe.
