The company will discuss the Brazilian indicators program in a scientific session and present scientific abstracts on dengue and tuberculosis at an international congress.

Controllab’s global presence also includes participation in highly relevant international events, such as ADLM 2024, which will take place in Chicago, United States, from July 28 to August 1.

Organized by the Association for Diagnostics & Laboratory Medicine (ADLM), formerly known as the American Association for Clinical Chemistry (AACC), the congress will bring together specialists and leaders in the field of laboratory medicine to discuss advances and challenges in the area, with a rich program of exhibitions, lectures, workshops, and educational sessions.

Controllab and its educational focus

During this year’s edition of ADLM, Controllab will reinforce its commitment to the promotion of knowledge and excellence in laboratory medicine.

The manager of indicators and accreditations, Fernando Berlitz, will represent the company in the scientific session “International Quality Indicators: Experiences, Opportunities, and Challenges” on July 29, from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM (Chicago time). The specialist will share valuable experiences about the Brazilian indicators program and the relevance of benchmarking in laboratory processes.

Additionally, Controllab will have two scientific abstracts displayed in the event’s poster hall. The abstracts highlight the value of the Brazilian external quality assessment program. They are:

  • “Evaluating RT-qPCR for Dengue Virus Detection: Outcomes of a Brazilian External Quality Assessment Program”;
  • “Laboratory Performance in Molecular Detection of Mycobacterium tuberculosis Through Analysis of External Quality Assessment Program Results: WHO-Recommended Tests
    Outperform Others”.
