A poll carried out during the month of July collects the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic from the point of view of laboratory management and the information will be a source of valuable learning for the sector The management committee of the Brazilian Society of Clinical Pathology/Laboratory Medicine (SBPC/ML), together with Controllab, intends to know the reality of laboratories during the pandemic, from the point of view of laboratory management. In a critical period like this, which the world is going through with the COVID-19 pandemic, clinical laboratories are essential for diagnosis, isolation of infected patients, treatment and monitoring of these patients during and after their hospitalization. The consequences of this period for laboratory management were numerous. Thus, the aim of this survey is to document this period, learn from the successes and innovative solutions created and elaborate suggestions on how the greatest difficulties experienced were overcome. With the support of specialists, a questionnaire was developed that includes different topics related to the topic of pandemic management. Topics are listed in the poll summary. Controllab, a partner of SBPC/ML, acts as an impartial company, assisting in prospecting the survey with the Society and compiling the final information obtained, in accordance with its adopted privacy policy. To participate, the laboratory must work in the clinical segment and elect a representative responsible for answering the questionnaire, in order to avoid multiple responses from the same organization. The poll is available for contributions during the month of July/21 and the results are expected to be released in the second half of this year. Contribute to this initiative that will document a milestone in the life of Clinical Pathology and will serve for further analysis later. To respond, access the survey link.
