Laboratory management professionals enhance their skills in data analysis and interpretation

Metricare promotes an Online Forum with practical cases and strategies to boost the efficiency and competitiveness of laboratories.

In the months of June and July, managers and professionals from the laboratories participating in Metricare expanded their knowledge through the Online Forum designed to enhance the efficiency of comparative laboratory data management, in compliance with RDC 786/2023. The initiative, held periodically, aims to create a collaborative and enriching learning environment.

The event was led by the Controllab team of experts and featured significant discussions on two essential indicators for laboratory sustainability: “Result Delays” and “Technical Productivity.”

During his presentation, Fernando Berlitz, Accreditation and Indicators Manager at Controllab, emphasized the need to align delivery times with the laboratory’s strategy: “Sometimes, the best test result in the world, delivered far beyond the promised deadline, has little use for the patient or the doctor.” He added: “A broader delivery timeframe can reduce delays but compromises the laboratory’s strategic dynamics, decreasing its competitiveness and appeal to clients.”

Regarding technical productivity, Berlitz highlighted the importance of evaluating the laboratory’s efficiency in using its human resources, considering the influence of factors related to technology, time, test volume, and process quality.

Exchange of experiences and practical insights

One of the most valuable moments of the event was the active participation of users, who shared their questions and successful practices. This exchange of experiences contributed to collective learning, allowing participants to gain practical insights to improve their process performance.

The discussions presented at the Metricare Online Forum highlighted how comparative indicator management is crucial for achieving a strategic vision and making informed decisions, ensuring the efficiency and competitiveness of laboratories.

The professionals present at the event deepened their skills in interpreting comparative results, which will enable them to identify trends, patterns, and improvement opportunities in their laboratories. One participant stated: “I always understand that the resources and dynamics used contribute to the understanding of the subject.”

Promoting efficiency and sustainability in healthcare

Through events like this, Metricare aims not only to expand the qualified use of its platform but also to empower the managers and professionals who lead the strategies and processes of analysis establishments.

Based on this enhancement in data interpretation, these professionals identify improvement opportunities to strengthen the competitiveness of laboratories in the market, promoting the adoption of more efficient operational and strategic practices. This approach not only benefits laboratories and their clients but also contributes to the improvement of healthcare services, driving innovation, patient care quality, and the overall sustainability of the healthcare sector.

The next edition of the forum, exclusive to Metricare users, is scheduled for August 13th and will cover Customer/Patient Satisfaction indicators. It will be an unmissable opportunity for managers and marketing and customer service professionals to gain essential information for maintaining the quality of service and offerings, promoting sustainable growth for the laboratory.
