The course will address how the solution collaborates to measure and compare laboratory performance with market performance
The 1st Virtual Congress of the Brazilian Society of Clinical Pathology and Laboratory Medicine (SBPC/ML) will take place between September 25 and October 2. In order to delve deeper into the challenges facing the clinical laboratory in the face of the new Coronavirus pandemic, important topics for professionals in the field of diagnostics will be discussed.
One of these relevant issues is the Benchmarking and Laboratory Indicators. In the pre-congress course “Benchmarking and Laboratory Indicators Program: the contribution of this program in the pandemic period”, the speakers Larissa Cristine M. Welter, Luiza Bottino and Maria Elizabete Mendes will be mediated by Wilson Shcolnik – who will also speak at the meeting. They will deploy the content on valuable issues.
One of the highlights is the discussion on the impacted indicators and market monitoring over the months. They are a source of decision-making and planning in this challenging period of Covid-19.
In view of the need for a strategic positioning to meet the demands and expectations of customers, in addition to achieving process improvement and laboratory sustainability, Benchmarking and indicators are solutions that collaborate to measure and compare business performance with market performance.
The indicators bring several benefits to laboratory management. According to Controllab’s, Services Supervisor, Luiza Bottino, the diagnostic medicine market is more intense and driving laboratories to have more and more quality. Therefore, transforming data into a major competitive advantage will make a difference in the organization’s results.
“It is essential that the managers of the laboratories know their processes very well to make assertive decisions based on concrete and reliable data. In this period of the Covid-19 pandemic, when the market has been going through a whirlwind of situations that affect all laboratory processes, more and more the manager will need to reinvent to guarantee survival and profitability”, she says.
According to the expert, more than ever it is necessary to know and monitor the routine to know the exact paths for the resumption of growth. “People who participate in the course will be much more qualified to be able to make a critical analysis of the processes. They will understand that there is no point in just monitoring the routine internally without looking around. You need to understand the market and how competitive you are within it”, she says.
Divided into five blocks, the course will be held on September 26 (Saturday), starting at 10:00am, in room 07. Check the content:
