Controllab promotes Laboratory Indicators and Benchmarking Course at the 2nd Virtual Congress of SBPC/ML

Controllab promotes Laboratory Indicators and Benchmarking Course at the 2nd Virtual Congress of SBPC/ML

Traditional pre-congress course will address valuable questions about the practice of benchmarking laboratory indicators, aiming at better use for managers and teams to strengthen the use of the tool.

Controllab’s participation in the 2nd Virtual Congress of the Brazilian Society of Clinical Pathology and Laboratory Medicine (SBPC/ML) will start on September 4th, with the pre-congress course Indicators and Laboratory Benchmarking (CP 03).

Luiza Bottino, supervisor of Controllab’s Service Management, is one of the course lecturers and will make a presentation on the Benchmarking and Laboratory Indicators Program (PBIL).  The Supervisor will bring to the discussion subjects such as the geographic scope of the PBIL and the scope of indicators, the operation of the program with the available resources and the results of the comparison. The PBIL alignment between benchmarking programs at the international level (IFCC) will also be presented, demonstrating the reliability and consistency of the program’s data.

“The expectation is for another exchange of knowledge with the laboratory public, sensitizing them on the importance of self-assessment and knowledge of their performance against market players”, says Luiza.

The course will start at 10 am, with the opening held by Dr. Wilson Shcolnik (Abramed President), reinforcing the importance of benchmarking in the current scenario of diagnostic medicine. Coordinated by the lecturer Dr. Fernando Berlitz (PALC – SBPC/ML), in addition to the representative of Controllab, the speakers Dr. Klever Sáenz (Synlab – Equador), Dr. Larissa Welter (Laboratory Hemos) and Dr. Ana Paula Neves (Laboratory Bedalab ) will contribute to this meeting. They will break the content down into valuable issues such as decision making, strategic management, use of indicators and the integration of laboratory systems with the PBIL.

The course will be concluded by Dr. Guilherme de Oliveira, Director of Accreditation and Quality at SBPC/ML, highlighting the benefits of benchmarking for laboratory recognition.

The laboratory medicine market is constantly changing, demanding more and more agility and assertiveness in strategic decision making. The use of benchmarking of laboratory indicators helps managers to identify weaknesses and strengths of the organization, based on concrete market data.

The class will be a unique opportunity to exchange knowledge and experiences, which will help managers and teams to enhance the practice of benchmarking in their routine.

The activity will take place on September 4th (Saturday), starting 10 am, in room 03. The content will be divided into five blocks, which attribute dynamism and diversity of knowledge to those enrolled.
